Liz + Doug | Engagement | Louisville, KY

Before portrait sessions, we always suggest that folks pick places that are important to them: places where they like to hang out and that give them good vibes. This helps these sessions feel a bit more meaningful and personal. For us, it is always a treat to discover these spots and to find out what they mean to people. Liz + Doug took us to several really hip Louisville spots. First, we went to Goss Avenue Antiques & Interiors where Liz likes to get lost and dig around in all of its rad stuff. This suits her because we really dig her Mad Men-esque style and look! Doug, the drummer in a rocking Louisville outfit, CABIN, enjoys checking out the music gear there, too. Next, we found out that Carmichael’s Bookstore isn’t just any old bookstore to these two. It’s where Doug smoothly planted a ring and note into a journal that an attendant suggested to Liz: a pretty incredible proposal for these bookworms! Then to Nachbar, where Liz + Doug get to enjoy their other favorite things: beer and their doggies. We have thoroughly enjoyed meeting and hanging out with these two. Other persons who enjoy them as much as we do might also like to see the rest of this set in the Client Gallery. Congrats Liz + Doug and we’ll see you soon!

So clearly, I am immature, because my eyes immediately went to the statues business in that first frame, haha! Anyways… I love those pub shots. Really really cool.
